Where’s Your Audience? The Secret Weapon of Keyword Research and Online Data

December 9, 2011

December 14, 2011

A special skills workshop for TerreWEB scholars only that focused on the importance of understanding how to identify, find, and engage individuals who are interested in our TerreWEB scholars research. Every successful media project starts with a good story, but on its own this will not grantee you that the word about your projects spreads to the outside world. For that you need an audience and stakeholders that will support your project. Many success stories have proven that the better you can define your target audience, the greater your chances to be heard. Apart from that it can also help you shape any grant-application and increase your chances of success. The good news is that the Internet gives you the power: it provides you with all the tools you need to successfully secure an interested audience.

The workshop focused on:

  • An overview of key sources of online audience data
  • Keyword/search research skills & data specific to your project
  • Social media research skills & data specific to your project
  • Summary of current online tools to simplify audience engagement
